Difficulty in the Decisions of the Future

Author: Tima Miroshnichenko There are many stressors that arise with age. Finding the career that is the best fit for me is one of them. Throughout my middle school and high school years, I consistently participated in programs as a volunteer and joined a variety of clubs. This was because I wanted to work hard to experience a little bit of everything before fully committing to one field. Through these clubs, I could see myself working in any type of role and profession. This would prove counterproductive, though, as I developed a wide range of interests in many employment options as I got older. Two clubs had the most influence on my indecision today: Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America ( FCCLA ) and Health Occupations Students of America ( HOSA ). FCCLA was focused more on dealing with families, education, childcare practices, and nutrition. A Glimpse into The GGC Honors Program

What does it mean to be part of an Honors Program in college? Generally speaking, an honors program offers a more rigorous education to high-achieving students. In this type of program, you are given the opportunity to challenge yourself by taking more “in-depth and robust learning” courses (“What”) Taking part in an honors program demonstrates your dedication to furthering your education, as well as your commitment and desire to learn. Here at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) , we have an honors program located in Building W, Suite 3233, that has been described as: “A program that offers a more integrated educational college experience through enhanced opportunities in scholarships, leadership, and creativity” (Honors).  Credit: Andrea Piacquadio The admission process for applicants interested in the honors program is more selective and competitive, as it does cater to individuals who are more academically driven (“What”). My Perfect Prom Night

  Ever since I started high school my senior year was something I always looked forward to. More specifically though, Prom. Now that time has passed, that day was finally here. Everyone's dream was to have a perfect experience and from the looks of every high school movie I watched, I thought mine was going to be the same.  Credit: Author It was a beautiful Saturday morning, the birds were singing, the sun was shining, and I woke up super energetic. I thought to myself, "Nothing could possibly go wrong." With a blink of an eye, my morning turned into the afternoon and it was time to leave for prom. I texted the person that was going to give me a ride, Antony, and told him I was ready to go. He quickly responded back and told me he was on his way.
